Everybody wants to achieve that permanent youthful glow. Try any or preferably all of the following advice to get beautifully radiant skin:
Exfoliate - While we often hear the term “exfoliate” in passing, it is imperative to achieving glowing skin. Exfoliators containing alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) have a triple action effect that promotes natural exfoliation by cleansing the skin and tightening the pores.
Sunscreen - Wearing sunscreen is the easiest way to look younger. Approximately 90% of wrinkles are due to sun exposure. Look for formulas that offer broad spectrum protection against UVA rays.
Diet - Fruits and veggies are the most vital ingredients for healthy, glowing skin. Antioxidants are key as they improve circulation, and affect the skin pigments. Blackberries, blueberries, cherries, plums, and apples help fend off compounds that harm the skin like pollution, cigarette smoke, stress, and sun exposure.
Radiance-boosting makeup - Light colors and minimal makeup help accentuate a healthy glow. Applying an illuminating cream under the makeup can help transform the skin from dull to bright. Bronzers are excellent in creating a healthy glow. Apply evenly to those parts of the face that are most exposed to the sun, particularly the forehead, nose and cheeks.
Avoid hot water showers - While steamy showers can feel great after a stressful day at work, they can be harmful to the skin. The heat strips your skin off of essential oils, sometimes even mildly burning it, which leads to flushing. Use lukewarm water instead.
Handy Hints
• You can exfoliate with products containing AHAs
• Wear sunscreen to prevent premature wrinkles
• Make fruits and vegetables a part of your diet
