We all want beautiful and glowing complexion, but let’s face it, skincare can be pricey. Yet with some common pantry goods and a little bit of know-how, now you can make your own skincare products at home and relive a relaxing spa experience without the hefty price tag. Here are a few DIY recipes for glowing skin:
After a stressful day in the office, mix two parts of organic yogurt with one part of clear honey. Smear this paste on your entire face for 15 minutes. Rinse off with plain water and watch your skin glow.
For dull and patchy skin, grate half a raw potato into a muslin cloth and apply the fresh juice to your entire face for at least 20 minutes. Rinse off with water. Do this twice a week for a super effective and safe skin brightening solution.
Need a quick fix before a party? Egg is the answer. Separate the yolk from the egg white and apply the latter to your entire face. Leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse liberally with cold water. Moisturize afterwards.
Cold milk can be applied to flaky or dry facial areas and left on for 15 minutes. Rinse well.
Grind half a cup of steel cut oats into fine powder. Add one tablespoon of this to half a teaspoon of warmed honey and half a teaspoon of organic yogurt. Mix and apply for 10 minutes, then rinse well. This multi-purpose mask will drench your skin with moisture, relieve dryness and soothe redness.
