Hung yogurt 500gm
Roasted chana dal powder 150gm
Onion (medium-sized, finely chopped) 1 pc
Ginger (finely chopped) 1tbsp
Coriander leaves (finely chopped) 2tbsp
Green chilies (finely chopped) 1tbsp
Red chili powder 1tsp
Cloves powder ¼ tsp
Cardamom powder ½ tsp
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves) ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
Method of Preparation:
• In a bowl, whisk together the hung curd and the chana dal powder.
• Heat a pan and pour the mixture, stirring frequently for 3 minutes. Then add all the other ingredients except oil, and cook until the mixture becomes thick. Remove from heat and cool.
• Make patties and shallow fry in oil over medium heat until light brown on both sides. Serve hot with chutney.
Did you know...Hung yogurt is old-fashioned yogurt also referred to as ‘strained yogurt’ drained of its whey. It is a common ingredient in some international cuisines.
