Paneer Methi Malai

  Garlic cloves, crushed 3 pcs
  Asafoetida a pinch
  Onions, chopped 2 pcs
  Tomato, pureed 2 pcs
  Fried paneer 1 cup
  Ghee 2tsp
  Chili powder 1tsp
  Turmeric powder ½tsp
  Kasoori methi 3tsp
  Amchur powder ½tsp
  Unsalted cashew nuts 2tsp
  Unsalted almonds 2tsp
  Milk 3tsp
  Heavy cream ½ cup
  Salt to taste

Method of Preparation:
•Heat ghee in a pan. Add garlic, onions and asafoetida. Sauté till onions are golden brown.
•Mix the unsalted cashew and almonds with the milk, and grind to a paste
•Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, chili powder and amchur powder. Cook for a few minutes. Mix in the kasoori methi, add a little water and let boil over medium flame.
•Then add the fresh cream and cashew paste. When the gravy boils, let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
•Add paneer and cook, adding a little water depending on the consistency one wishes. Adjust for saltiness. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
